Biography Susan D. Chapnick, M.S.
Expertise Ms. Chapnick is President and a Principal Scientist of New Environmental Horizons, Inc. (NEH). She has over 20 years of experience in the environmental arena including quality assurance/quality control, regulatory compliance, data usability evaluation, and analytical chemistry (with specialties in trace metals and inorganic analytical techniques). She applies her technical expertise to plan and evaluate the quality of environmental data for use in Remedial Investigations/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS), human health and ecological risk assessments, and litigation support. Ms. Chapnick also acts as the Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) and provides program management, technical and regulatory assistance, and development and review of project-specific Work Plans and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) for environmental investigations in support of NOAA, USEPA Superfund, MA-MCP, Brownfields, and RCRA programs. Formerly, Ms. Chapnick has held the positions of Program Manager for Data Quality and Director of Technical Operations for Gradient Corporation and Director of Inorganic Laboratories for the former Enseco-Erco Laboratory. She has over 20 publications and presentations in the fields of analytical chemistry, data usability assessment, and method development.
